Our Countertop Fabrication and Installation Process
American Stone Edge takes pride in its craftsmanship and more importantly in how we pay special attention to detail both in our fabrication and installation process. We know this is an important investment and purchase for your home that will remain as long as you want it to. So, ASE invites you to work with our team of professional experts and experience the difference in customer service and superior quality.
You can obtain a proposal by submitting your measurements and photos of the area requiring our services via fax or email. Once we have received your information, our proposal, including estimated slab** count, will be emailed to you within 24-48 hours.
Confirming Contract & Scheduling:
When you're ready to proceed, we'll ask that you sign the proposal(contract) and email it back to us. At that time, all we require is a 10% down payment and we will schedule your vendor appointment.
Material Selection & Inspection
Prior to your template appointment we always schedule a vendor appointment with one of our professional team members to select and inspect your stone of choice* at no extra cost to you. This is part of the excellent service we strive to provide which allows our clients to be part of the process from start to finish! Also, we will gladly pass on our fabricators discounts to you as a token of our appreciation for giving us your business!**
*Once these stone slabs are purchased and delivered to our facility, your appointment for removal of existing materials, template and installation will be scheduled. **Please Note: Discounts may vary between locations and materials suppliers.

Removal of existing materials– (Only if Applicable)
On the removal date we will begin the removing of existing materials. A typical kitchen with tile countertops and backsplash may on average, take 4-5 hours. We take special care to cover and seal off the area to minimize dust flow throughout the home and we also cover any cabinetry and appliances to prevent any damage to them as well.
During this process the sink, plumbing, and cook top will be disconnected. With advanced notification, ASE will gladly install plywood during our removal visit as well. Prices will range depending on the size of the counters. If ASE is not installing the plywood, your counter tops need to be prepared with 5/8" plywood.
Once the removal of existing materials is completed our experienced fabricator will confirm all measurements for accuracy and then will template your project paying the utmost attention to details which will result in your ending up with a beautiful customized finished product. At this appointment too, it is very important for you or your contractor to be present to discuss any possible concerns, specifics, and/or last minute changes you may decide to make to your project prior to the start of fabrication.
The following 3 requirements needed at the job site:
1. 5/8” Plywood decking fully installed.(Unless ASE is scheduled to install)
3. Apron/Farmhouse style sinks need to be set in place.
Upon concluding this appointment a standard 50% of remaining balance is due and will need to be collected by our template representative.
Fabrication Time Expectancy:
Fabrication times can and will vary with job size and complexity of design. General fabrication times will take approximately 1 week after our template is completed. Once completed, it is then thoughtfully studied and laid out on your slabs to best showcase your material of choice. If you desire to be included in this process seeing and/or approving the final layout, we will gladly set up an appointment for you. When the layout is confirmed our highly skilled fabricators will begin the fabrication process!
Approximately a week to a week and a half from your template appointment, the installation process will begin which can take from 1 to 2 days. The electrical outlets (if applicable), the sink faucets, cooktop cutout and any top mount sinks will be cut on site. Once installation is complete, we take great care to clean up after ourselves too!
Once installation is complete and we have your very important and final approval which is of utmost importance to us, the remaining balance and final payment is due.
We also will have one of our knowledgeable and friendly customer service representatives follow-up with a phone call to ensure your satisfaction as well as to answer any maintenance questions you may have at that time.
